Granted is a scholarship platform created as a team project at SAIT to make finding funding opportunities less overwhelming for post-secondary students in Alberta.
The project went on to win Best Capstone Project at the SAIT Ignite Awards, where projects were judged across multiple programs.
I worked across the website design and front-end development to translate our research into an experience that makes scholarships easier to search, filter and save.
I designed Granted website around the parts of scholarship searching that created the most friction. Students can browse opportunities, narrow results using relevant filters and save scholarships they want to return to. The experience was designed to make information easy to scan, keep deadlines visible and give students a clear path through what can otherwise feel like a complicated process.
Granted became a working scholarship discovery website that brings opportunities into a more focused and approachable experience.
For me, the project was also an opportunity to work across both sides of the website process: using research to shape the experience, designing the interface and then helping bring those decisions into a working front-end build.
