Slice of
Calgary

Slice of Calgary began as a brand and UX project at SAIT, exploring how people discover and choose places to eat around the city.

The idea was to move away from the typical restaurant directory and create something that felt more like discovering a recommendation from someone who knows the city well. Something lively, approachable and distinctly local.

I developed the brand and digital experience around that idea, creating a visual identity that could bring personality to everything from restaurant features and neighbourhood guides to the website itself.

Calgary's food scene has plenty of personality, so I wanted Slice to have some of its own.

The creative direction takes inspiration from independent food publications, neighbourhood signage and the casual energy of sharing a good restaurant recommendation with a friend.

Slice of Calgary started with a simple idea: make discovering somewhere new to eat feel exciting again.

The final direction turns that idea into a flexible brand that can grow alongside Calgary's food scene, whether it is highlighting a new neighbourhood opening or sharing a local favourite while helping someone find their next dinner spot.
